Updated my iPhone 16 Pro Max to iOS 18.5 and now the screen is acting up big time. Half the time when I try to wake it, the phone buzzes or rings but the display itself just stays black. It’s like the phone is on, but the screen refuses to show anything.

I’ve had to force restart more times in the past week than I did in the entire year I’ve owned this phone. Sometimes it happens when I leave it idle for a while, other times it just randomly refuses to turn on when I press the side button.

Honestly, this is ridiculous for such an expensive phone. I tried turning off Raise to Wake, lowered brightness, even disabled True Tone just to see if it makes any difference, but nope  the issue keeps coming back.

Is this just me, or are other 16 Pro Max users running into the same black screen bug on iOS 18.5? Does Apple even acknowledge this yet?
